-Don't expand the stadium. Repair what needs to be repaired. The "make the dorms suites" idea is a good one. Do what you can to get that done.

-Schedule better football teams. Try to get at least one decent BCS team every year. And keep the troy state's away. Please.

-Do whatever you can do to get some night games. We played georgia and bama at 2:30 at home, while we played florida and auburn at night away. Something has to give here.

- Explan to the marshalls that no one gives a flying rat's arse when they get out of the stadium...and being jackasses and trying to run paying customers OUT of the stadium 10 seconds after the final whistle blows is NOT good business. If the players are still exiting the field, the GBFTL is still playing...I'm STAYING. I get to do this 7/8 times a year and am not going to be run out because half the stadium left during the third quarter and because of that it's looks like I'm loitering. I'm not. I stayed 'til the end...deal with that.

- For the love of Jimmy Taylor, quit playing piped in music in Tiger Stadium. Pregame during warm-ups...fine. But the ONLY time recorded music should be played in TS once the game has started is when the GBFTL is unable to play because they are leaving for/coming back from playing halftime. And ONLY play GBFTL music. AC/DC while fine to listen to whilst driving around in the IROC is NOT cool in TS.

-MARKET MARKET MARKET. Get rid of Toonces and any other logo and stick with ONE theme. That's how UT, FSU, and others have done it. We should use the tiger head on the helmet as a logo and the GEAUX font only for apparrel. No more toonces, or backwards hat tigers on a ballcap.

- Explain to the BR police officers who are being paid to park people in the lot in front of the natitorium off of Nicholson that they represent LSU while doing that job, and needlessly being pricks does nothing to help that. For instance, have them get there ON TIME and park people. If they don't, explain to them that FORCING 30 sets of cars to move that have already set up tents, cooking equipment, chairs, tables, etc is NOT ok simply because they got their late.

- Fix the field issue. I'm not buying the warm grass/cool grass bullshite even for a second. The grass was unplayable for thre UGA game, and that was late October before we had had any real cold spells. How are other programs near our same latitude able to grow grass? Magic? I also don't buy the upper decks issue, either. Anyone remember the North Texas morning game? The sun was shining brightly on the field by the time I got to my seats in the EU and that was about 8:45. The sun doesn't duck behind the WU until maybe 4. Find another reason. And if we CAN'T grow playable grass for the entire season, then put in a playable surface...even if it's asphalt. People are paying huge sums of money that goes towards great causes like salaries, scholarships, equipment, travel, etc...but it's all because we're there to watch the game. THE PLAYING SURFACE, therefore, is pretty important. I never want to see our field tackle one of our players ever again.

Ensure that the Florida game at home is a night game, regardless of the network broadcasting the game.

the way things are? what leads you to believe this? it was a night game in tiger stadium last year, also, if you really believe LSU has control of the times of the games, you aren't very credible

yeah, i'll add to it, my suggestion is that the Doc would let it go and let the AD do his job. He hasn't really done much wrong yet.

We need a 125,000 seat stadium. That is my 2 cents.

Do we think they're not trying to schedule better OOC teams?

Strike while the iron is hot. Do whatever you can to increase football revenue so we can keep up with the SEC big boys. Raise ticket prices so we can continue to build/improve facilities.

Market and promote the basketball program.

If we are going to keep playing day time games close in the stadium and turn on the Air Condition for the early season games. WHile your at it please sell cold beer and Alcahol . Heck if the people in the suites can do it and Tulane can do it in the Dome they why can't we.

not going to happen. in fact, it isn't even realistic.

realistic.

I was always on the fence about this, but now I say do it. I mean, don't serve jack daniels or anything, just bud light and miller light.

but i'm sure there is some kind of rule that says you can't serve beer to the general public.
but that doesn't make sense because youre serving it in the suites...

I have seen alot lately about the no alcohol issue. I believe it is an NCAA rule that prohibits selling alcohol at games. As for the suites, they are privately leased (not owned) from TAF, hence they are temporarily the property of the tennant and are allowed to have alcohol. TAF is also an evil corporation much similar to Haliburton.

Only way this happens is if we tell the SEC to off.

Doc,

To add to the thread, the following needs to be on the AD's list:

1. DONT EXPAND the stadium. It's a waste of money. Spend the money on updating a FLIPPING video screen first. It's an embarrassment compared to the rest of the big boys. Then, make all the repairs and put a better fence than a chain link fence around the stadium for Christ's sakes. Then, either get a competent ground crew or install field turf. I personally think the field turf would look and match our style of play better.

2. MARKET MARKET MARKET. Get rid of Toonces and any other logo and stick with ONE theme. That's how UT, FSU, and others have done it. We should use the tiger head on the helmet as a logo and the GEAUX font only for apparrel. No more toonces, or backwards hat tigers on a ballcap.

3. Promote basketball as much as possible.

1) The stadium is definitely in bad shape. There are other old stadiums that don't look as bad as TS. Needs immediate attention.

2) I've always been in favor of converting the dorms to suites but from what I understand, it's a problem with asbestos pipe insulation and materials that were utilized in building construction years ago. The remediation process would be extremely cost prohibitive.

3) As far as more night games, no one would like that more than I. However, this has been beat to death on TD. While the ADs may have influence over the contracts that are negotiated with the networks, once the contracts are in place, there is nothing the ADs can do about network broadcasts. They make broadcast decisions according to how the seasons unfold.

4) OOC scheduling. I understand the argument that the SEC schedule is tough enough year in and year out, but we've got to improve our OOC scheduling somewhat. Part of the reason for low initial attendance for the Troy game (notice I said initial. Don't want to rehash that crap again) is the lack of a big name opponent. Washington this coming year is a good start. Keep it up.

when it all boils down.. it's about MONEY.

funny how they can show beer advertisments during a college sports game, but won't sell beer in the stadiums?

yeah, the NCAA is ALL about morals...
