OK technically you are correct
Not technically. I am correct.

TRUMP signed the budget deal that did address spending.
Which has nothing to do with the TCJA.

Trump pac continues to lie about DeSantis tax position and to my knowledge nobody in the thread posted something that I saw that stated Trump supported eliminating the IRS for individual tax payers. Curious, do you?
Nobody actually supports eliminating the IRS because it won’t ever happen. There is nobody on this board that hates the IRS more than me. I get shite on constantly for being a one issue voter (taxes). I fight the IRS every day of my life. It’s my profession.
You seem like a good dude. I don’t mean to shite on you. But you clearly didn’t know how the Code works and your singular issue with the TCJA is that it cut taxes too much. Not sure how you reconcile that with your conservative principles
I think you just hate trump and got confused. It’s ok. No biggie.

Re read my post.... I know how the bill changed the code. Lord have mercy ... you were correct on the tax bill. I said that TRUMP supported the budget ... which was indeed separate from the tax bill. Combined that led to the deficit and added to the national debt.
You are suggesting that lowering taxes is a more conservative position than balancing the budget. Really? Why don't we just cut the Corp rate to zero and eliminate all taxes?
Re "Nobody actually supports eliminating the IRS".
I support it. A lot of people do. Do I think that will happen ... probably not, and definitely not in my lifetime. Does not mean we don't support it. I support a consumption tax IF we protect the elderly who have already been screwed by income taxes their whole lives.
There are a LOT of things I support changing ... like the wording in Section 1 of the 14th. Do I think that will happen... maybe, but probably not in my lifetime. There are lot more.
No, I do not like Trump as he is not a conservative and I think he is a moron ... which is supported by the things he says every day.
But to be clear ... you were right.
