There are only a few Gibson's left. I grew up with one, found one of them still in Weatherford, TX, so I read the history during my nostalgia.

When Sam Walton started out, at one point he got a meeting with the head of Gibson's to see about doing business with him.

The Gibson guy big timed Sam, made him wait for hours, then cursory or no meeting ( I forget which).

That would qualify as a mistake.
