But the bulk of their army has none of this training. They’ll learn some parade maneuvers, apparently empty one magazine, and get sent off to the front lines. The whole process takes three or four weeks. In a couple of cases you had men, picked off the street by conscription officers, who ended up dead a week later in Bahkmut. It’s a shite show. They were just plugging the gaps with bodies.

Valeurs Actuelles, the right wing French news magazine, said more than 40% of the French trained soldiers have stopped reporting back, and are presumed dead.

Ukraine has started conscripting men who were previously considered medically ineligible for service.

That’s not a good sign.
