If you can’t beat the field in a regional you host after winning game 1 with your entire staff less your best guy (essentially swapping Skenes for a bye), then how do you expect to advance any further than Game 1?

Former coaches far most accomplished than CJJ as well as most commentators question it, not just us wild-eyed rantards.

Wouldn't it be preferable to be 1-0 with your best pitcher still available against the more difficult team?

If CJJ had said it's late in the season and important our arms get a full week between starts I can accept that. He's got his finger closer to the pulse and I think players get fatigued over a long season.

But unless CJJ is seeing something no one else has seen it's an unconventional move.

My questioning is over. Looking forward to Ty putting on a show tonight.
