One thing definitely in our favor is that Ole Miss has one of the worst SEC secondaries that we have faced. If they can't capatalize on Lee's mistakes, then we win. Simple as that.

By the way, the 4 losses by 19 points cover up the fact that Ole Miss flat out CHOKED those games away with stupid mistakes. I know they have won 3 in a row, but this is most certainly not Wake Forest. This is on the road in Tiger Stadium. They are still "learning how to win," and as such, still very vunerable to backsliding into old habits.

Do you know anything at all about football? If you don't think Ole Miss could win this game by two TDs maybe you should find another sport to watch. Of course we all know there was no way Troy could lead Lsu by 28 in third quarter either.

LSU will beat Ole Miss Saturday. Plain and simple.

We had a game similar to Troy last year. Didnt stop the rings

JL will show us Saturday night why he is going to keep the job next year. Holliday will break out, and Scott will run rampant.

The mailigned D will wake up, and the LSU team Ole M fears in the back of thier minds will show up.

You are the defending national champions, but you are not playing like it. Haven't all year and I sat through Georgia, North Texas, and the State game. Have watched ya'll play every game that was on tv, and ya'll are playing with a serious lack of emotion. I blame this on the fact that you lost your team leaders last year and no one has stepped in to fill the roll. Every game ya'll have played flat. Sorry it is the truth and more importantly the team I watched all last year with clear leadership would never have let Troy be winning at any point let alone the margin that happened last weekend. That being said Ole Miss wins by 3points. Oh and give Lee a break he is young. The only way he is going to be able to preform like ya'll want him to is by getting the playing time, and that means he is going to make mistakes.

I think we have the better team this year, which is not often and I realize that. I just think this year is different.

The LSU-Ole Miss game is usually a "throw conventional wisdom out" game, anyway. Sometimes we've been able to "overtalent" Ole Miss, particularly on defense. I still think we have a more talented team. The issue will be: Will the LSU team that played the first half against Troy show up, or the LSU team that played the fourth quarter against Troy show up? If it's the former, we'll be lucky if Ole Miss only wins by 2 touchdowns. If it's the latter, it could be 1970 all over again...

Jarrett Lee will determine the outcome of the game.

That's right. Ole Miss will stack the line all game long, and force J Lee to beat them. You know the how this song goes...

AND he will, handily. Crowton and co. found out what plays he excels in (three step drops, quick slants, etc.) which will then open up the deep routes (last few of which he has become increasingly more accurate in). The light goes on and stays on after Saturday.

JJ will get his package plays in, as well.

Because wins/losses aren't transitive. Why do people continue to use this logic?

You're right, but our team playing like shite week after week is a pretty good indicator of how good we are relative to Ole Miss. FWIW, I think LSU and Ole Miss are sorely mismatched when it comes to talent on the field, but Ole Miss has been getting a lot more out of their players than LSU this year. It should be a pretty close game. I give the edge to LSU because of homefield.

They do have some NFL type guys on both the OL and DL. Hardy, Jerry, Oher, etc. I think Troy was a wakeup call and I look for a better effort (Bama type effort). Still want to see Lee make it a game without a pick six though, can't give freebies and momentum to other team like that.

LSU needs a play in the return game too! There due!

If you live here in Jackson, you would have to listen to the OM fans saying they already have this game marked down as a win and they already have their bags packed for Dallas in Houston Nutt's first year.

Turned on exactly 8 mins of sports talk radio yesterday, and 1st caller who is a OM fan says that he hopes the Cotton bowl picks OM instead of the Outback bowl b/c he can't afford to go to Tampa b/c of the recession.

2nd caller says that Houston Nutt is known to be a runnin coach, and a win over a good Mizzou team in Cotton would cause these high profile WR recruits to consider going to OM.

After both calls, i just turned off the radio.

I understand getting excited over your team having a good/decent year after having 6 bad years in a row, but don't understand taking it to the extreme like already predicting the next 3 games wins. I do hope the OM players are this confident this saturday.

And Chase Daniels would pick their secondary apart.

We were down by 28 points against Troy State.
