About 15 years ago, there was a girl in small town Mississippi that caused a ruckus because she wanted to wear a tux to prom and bring her girlfriend.

The school said no, then said yes, and a group of parents basically threw a “private prom” at a country club where the girl was the only one not invited.

She went on Ellen and got a scholarship. Got some money from some other organizations. Graduated from high school and was pregnant within a year.

According to Facebook, she’s a server at Longhorn steakhouse and she thanks God every day for her man.
