That would be a disaster of a super. I really don't want to be paired with another SEC team for supers
But I was told on here that the SECT didn’t matter. I get the idea behind that but recency bias is going to be on people’s minds no matter what the resume looks like for the first 90% of the season

The Rant keeps telling me that the Auburn, Miss State, UGA, and SECT games weren’t important and Jay was just auditioning guys for the postseason. There should be zero concern for the postseason because the hits with runners on base are due, and Jay knows exactly what bullpen pitcher to bring in during a tight game.

The goal is to get a national seed so we'd have home field in the supers (and miss out on a really good 2 seed in the regional). Beyond that, the pairings are meaningless.
Worried about a 1-4 Omaha matchup with Wake Forest? Do you think they want to face Skenes in game 1?
Worried about facing an SEC team in the Supers? It looks like there will be 10 SEC teams in the postseason, and the committee will try to avoid having the CWS be an all-SEC affair; so go ahead and expect to see plenty of SEC-SEC supers. There are going to be 4 SEC national seeds- LSU, Arkansas, Florida and Vandy. They will almost certainly end up paired with Bama, Auburn, Kentucky, and one of the regionals Tennessee and South Carolina are in. South Carolina, if they go to Coastal, will be the defacto favorite there. Similarly, if Tennessee ends up at Indiana State, they also should advance.
The Supers will be set up with a path for Wake, Stanford, Clemson, and SEC teams. It is what it is.

It doesn’t and has nothing to do with the committee matching up sec teams in supers. They’ve always done this
