There was a time when the SEC was a 12 team league and it was common to play only 6 SEC games. When the SEC had ten teams well into the 1980s there would be teams that only played a 6 game schedule. So Nick is not that far off-base. But I don't believe ESPN/ABC is paying the money for Alabama to play The Citadel, ULM, Eastern Michigan, and Southern Miss at home.

LSU is hosting South Alabama in 2024.

I know you guys will win but shut the frick up about scheduling.

Here is the stupid part of the 9 game analysis.

Right now, going from 8 games to 9 games potentially eliminates 7 games from the espn inventory.

A game for Bama against Arizona st... a game of vandy against hawaii... both get scrapped to get Bama to play Vanderbilt.

So instead of ESPN publishing 2 games with 4 fanbases watching, they are scrapping it for 1 game with vandy vs Bama.

It is so short sighted.
