why does everybody want to talk about all the potential he has and everything. I know and you know he is terrible he is no good and doesnt need to be playing. All i have to say is DO NOT think he is going to play much after this year. There is no way R.Sheppard will lose out to him in the off season

Well, if R. Sheppard wins that battle, then 2009 will be another LONG season. I am really looking forward to him coming to LSU, but anyone who thinks that guy can just step right in and win games on his own is delusional. There is going to be a learning curve for that guy. This IS the SEC and not the MAC, ya know...

Don't bet on it. Shep will play a 2007 Perrilloux role at most next year... I don't see him being the full time starter until 2010

dude..redshirt freshman..will get better. look at JPW and stafford careers. look at the comebacks at auburn, SC and troy. dude just needs some confidence. Unfortunately, RS is not polished enough as a passer to come in as a true freshman and be a fulltime qb in the sec.

Sheppard should be RS'd. We have enough quarterbacks to work with, and plenty enough time for them to improve. There is no reason whatsoever for Sheppard to play immediately

From perusing your post history, you must have some kind of vendetta against Lee.

+1

I am dreading another wasted year breaking in a new QB

Shepard will be a true frosh. You're an idiot expecting him to win out in the offseason

J Lee has faced multiple pass defenses in the top 50. Ole miss isn't even in the top 80. He is gonna light their secondary up like times square this weekend and show us what he is all about.

Instead of being negative and pounding a dead horse and ragging on one of our players how about ragging on ole miss!

You must be joking. This is an absolutely absurd post. Lee could end up being very good. Shep could end up being a bust. Very dumb post.

Exactly...even Peyton Manning didn't come in from day one as the starter.
