FretShack, I have a question for you:

Do you have a demo for the sound of your soapbar P90 pickups?
I can make a good trade for one of these, that's used.
LINK
It's a pretty nice guitar and I can get it at a good price (would have to do some welding and work on a boat trailer), but definitely needs the pickups and wiring/controls upgraded.
I really love the sound of those P90 telecaster pickups that you make, and I have the perfect telly to put them in, but this trade came into the picture, and I really like that guitar. How do you think that your soapbars compare to those?
Just want to get your input, because one way or the other, I'll be calling you up to make an order this week.

I don't have a demo video readily available but I will see if I can make one happen before the end of the month.

You don't even have to do that for my benefit, just tell me what you think about the tonal differences.
I trust what you tell me.
I know you know your shite, about the subject.
P.S.. I'm bout to pull the trigger on one of the 68 Vibra Champ amps, and I want the perfect stuff to play through it.

Carondelet TPA/SPA duet demo.
My full bars have similar presence and articulation but they are phatter in tone due to the increased coil geometry.
This forum isn't ideal for a back and forth based on your specific wants, needs and scenarios. I recommend you contact me directly. All my contact info is at carondeletpickups DOT com.

Have a pickup question as well. Your slightly overwound Pbass pickups, how hot are they? Normal passive, medium, or a little hot like a quarter pounder? Gonna be building a Pbass in the near future and will be in the market. I’ve been looking at the Lindy Fralin slightly overwound.

Custom winds are always an option, but my standard fare P is vintage coil geometry, coil wire size and insulator composition but with about an eight percent overwind.
Can be spec'ed with .187" diameter A5 rod mags (vintage), .195" diameter A5s (think "vintage plus," my personal fave), or .250" A5 diameter rods (like Duncan QP, that's where the "quarter" in the name originates).

Dang fret, we might send you an invitation to my math freek club.

For my downvoter, I hate when people get decent guitars and don't learn how to play anything.
