Disney will soon cost $1k for a single person to simply get into the park and people will still waste their money going there.

Park prices got absurd under Chapek, and in a vacuum Iger would never reverse that.
However; they did finally have a bit of a slow down and now are having to bring back discounts and other perks they had done away with.
Annual passes, meal plans, and early booking discounts specifically. Remains to be seen if those steps will be enough to entice people to continue going into debt for their annual vacation.
