Yes, and food grade baking soda is usually cheaper than the pool version, total alkalinity up

Look for the big five and 10 lb bags of Arm & hammer, often on sale

Now find me a cheap source of salt. Keeping my 40,000 gallon pool adequately salted using the 40 lb bags at the big box stores feels like sweetening a 55 gallon drum of coffee using those little packets. And the price of salt has gone up three or four times in the time I have on my pool.

us ot ballers prefer not to just throw that money away
