"The fans' leaving did kind of upset me," Johnson said. "Then they did upset me when they started to boo. It was weird to see the fans leaving. It was crazy. The coaches were really upset with (fans).
"They are the home fans and they are supposed to cheer us. Hopefully, the fans will stay next week and not boo us.
Senior kicker Colt David acknowledged that it bothered him to see the stands more than half empty.
"I'd like to have the fans here," David said. "That's what makes Tiger Stadium. It hurts when they leave. The ones who stayed are the true fans."

I left at around 8:15 or so. I figure its ok since the players and coaches didn't show up till about 8:45

They should play better and no one would leave or boo. Personally, I wouldn't do either, but when a team looks like shite, that's what happens.

I agree with this 100%.
However...
I think the team needs to take some of the responsibility on themselves. And by team, I mean whomever was responsible for that abortion of a first half. You can't play like absolute dog turd and then get pissed when those who paid tons of money to come see a good game get pissed and leave.
That'd be like the makers of "Dude, where's my car?" getting pissed because people left in the middle of the movie.
I think the modest thing for the players to do would be to say that they were disappointed in themselves that they had played so badly against a Sunbelt team that the fans didn't want to see it anymore.
All that being said, you're right. Leaving early is bushleague.

The truth hurts sometimes homeslice.
This team is a 4 loss team. That is a hell of a feat for a team with teh co-tards at the helm on defense.
If they aren't replaced at years end, we'll lose AT LEAST 4 next year.
