Anyone else own this? Have 1,500 units of MMP held for many years, would receive $25 cash per unit plus .667 shares of OKE per unit of MMP so roughly end up with 1,000 shares of OKE. I like this deal as MMP value had been dragging although the potential tax consequences due to recapture of years of income tax offsets due to depreciation, etc will reduce the cash significantly and probably screw cheap ACA insurance premiums for this year. I wouldn't have sold my ownership in a commercial property Q1 this year if I had been omniscient.

I bought OKE on this news should make them a big player in the future. Now i can basically own an LP without the K1 for tax purposes.
My O/G stocks are now : CVX,VLO,OKE
ALL 3 pay nice DIVS as well.

In practice… how are you going to determine an accurate basis in this?

I’ve had OKE since May 2020. And bought more since. Nice dividend payout and seems like a very stable company. I’m guessing the acquisition will only make them stronger.

Years of K-1's and my CPA. It's all been reported to the IRS through the years.

Yeah, I have 5,400 units of EPD, roughly half acquired in March 2020, and significant VLO and ENB holdings. The tax offsets from EPD are going to zero out in the next few years as I am not interested in buying more. Something similar to MMP may occur with them as well, that would be a very big tax hit. EPD has roughly 5x larger market cap than MMP and has been a significantly higher payer.

I've owned OKE since the pandemic. Been a huge winner for me, but they've dropped significantly on the back of this news. Hopefully it bounces back in short order.

I don't have 1500 shares, but i stupidly might sell. I'm already overexposed to hell on energy or i would. This will probably print money till we die.

Interesting. I got in on OKE right after the Covid downfall when they were in the mid-20s. They got up to about $71 but they have dropped about 20% this calendar year alone. Hope to see that one do well. I have almost 200 shares so chump change by the standards of folks in here, but enough to keep me interested.

I have both. So soon I'll just have OKE.
