I eulogized both my grandfathers. It was a great honor. My dad’s father’s eulogy was one of the hardest speeches I’ve given. I loved that man and he was and still is a huge influence on my life and one of the greatest men I’ve ever known. I miss him everyday.
But I got to stand up and remind everyone of how great he was and say goodbye one last time. I was so amped up on adrenaline walking up to the podium I remember my hands shaking so bad I couldn’t read what I wrote. I took a deep breathe and pushed through it.
It meant the world to me and I keep the eulogy I wrote along with the thank you note from my Dad in the cover of my Bible next to my bed.
