Not hard to identify talent when you see an elite athlete play, regardless of high school classification. Harlem ran a 4.38 (laser timed @ LSU camp) at 15 yrs old, Jamhyr Gibbs ran a 4.36 at the recent NFL combine. Did playing against single A competition hurt Derek Stingley (Dunham School), Brock Berlin & Jacob Hester (Evangel), Damone Clark & Ty Davis Price (So. Lab), Christian Harris (U High), Al Woods (Elton), Ramsey Dardar (Cecilia) ? FWIW, Southern Lab has 12 former players that were drafted and played in the NFL. In 2 years of HS football, Harlem has already proven himself and college coaches know all about him. He will be fine playing at St. Martin's which is arguably one of the top academic schools in NOLA. Transferring to IMG, Aug, Curtis, or wherever won't improve his recruiting stock.

Given his dad’s height, there a chance he gets “too tall” to be a RB and moves outside?

I wasn't trying to dump on the kid. I am rooting for him to be great and think he will. I was just responding to a comment saying he is an easy evaluation. I just think an easier evaluation would be a guy with those measurables AND you see him dominating against elite competition. Almost nobody he'll compete against is going to play D1 football.

I guess 247 will now catch up with the other sites after seeing him run 4.3 again and running 10.5 as a sophomore.
