YouTube pundits were floating that they move both CP3 and Ayton.
CP3 is a matter of clearing a lot of dead weight from the floor, cap wise, while Ayton is the kind of player who doesn’t really want to play third fiddle.
CP3 likely costs them assets to move, even with his final two years being non-guarantees.
Ayton likely brings in some role players and a first or two but any assets brought in by him may be then used to help move CP3.
I think the biggest problem for the Suns will be finding a deal they want to take for Ayton considering he isn’t worth what he should be after the last two years and teams know the Suns have limited options so they are likely to lowball them.
One deal mentioned was Dallas flipping some role players and a first for him (Klieba and someone else), thinking Dallas is a good landing spot for Ayton if he will be doing pick and roll with Luka plus being the focus on defense. Still doesn’t mean that Phoenix thinks they are getting enough for him.
