With the cost of new trucks I'd swap IF I could find someone who is reputable and willing to take on the project. So a few days of calling around or better yet going to talk to shops and see who's willing to do what.

If you went and bought a $15K-20K used truck there still wouldn't be any guarantee it wouldn't shite the bed 1000 miles down the road.


Just curious, what was your oil change interval? My mechanic says extended oil changes are why so many AFM engines fail.

I run my AFM engine to 10,000+ every single oil change. Every oil change I send the oil samples off to Blackstone for analysis and it’s always good to go.

I think idle time is the primary killer.

Ram's oil change interval is 10k by the computer. I did it between 7500-10,000 using Mobil 1 full synthetic and good extended life filters.
