Is it really about parental rights?

The Louisiana House of Representatives on Monday passed a hotly debated bill that would require public school employees to use the names and pronouns on students' birth certificates unless parents provide written permission to do otherwise.

But employees who disagree with using other pronouns because of religious or moral convictions would not be required to do so at all, according to the bill's language.

So parents have rights to prevent their children from using different names and pronouns.

But if parents consent to the child being called different, the teacher can still decline, and not be foreced to do so.

SO...

Parent refuses to consent - teacher can't use the new name/pronoun

Parent consents - teacher can refuse to use the new name pronoun.

If it's really about parental choice... shouldn't the teacher be held to the parent's choice all of the time, not just some of the time?

How about this... the government stays completely out of this, and teachers can call students whatever they want to be called, or not, the end?

Bottom line is this: If you care about your kids at all you have got to homeschool them. Difficult as that may be parents have gotta find a way to do that. You cannot reason with the groomers who run the indoctrination seminaries for satan that we call schools. It’s organized child abuse

Homeschool is generally a terrible idea as most parents are not smart enough to teach... but given all the issues in schools today, I think we will see more of it.

Uhh most teachers are not smart enough to teach because they’re a product of the exact same broken system. It’s not even a matter of being smart it’s just brainwashing

Even at a college level what is the difference between the Ivy League like Harvard, LSU, a small state school or county college and say notre dame. Nothing just the name. Exact same garbage being taught everywhere

No. You or your kid can call yourselves whatever you want but no one else is forced to play along.

If your heart is in it you can learn what you need and provide the environment for the kid to be able to learn. It is easier now than it's ever been. I mean a parent who can't read probably wouldn't be effective, but if you're capable of learning, you're capable of homeschooling.

Not yet they’re not forcing you but the day will come when they want to put you in prison or take your kids away for not living by their lies

You can also outsource certain things to people you trust. Ie Maybe you’re not great at math but you might have a family member or friend who is that’ll help

Not true. If I as a parent don't approve of what my kid calls him/herself, then they can't be called that by the teacher.

Not allowed. The opposite of forced.

Most people who homeschool are not really capable of holding a job.

The moms who don't have to work because they married well, their kids go to private school.

Not true and no one is forced to attend church. Kids start going to school at age 5 daily and do so for 15 or so years

Course if more people were attending church with regularity you wouldn’t have a country in the toilet like you do now

OK, let's try this for you big-government "conservatives"

Goverment stays out of it = no restrictions.

It's up to the kid involved to be called whatever they want, and it's up to the adult to decide if they want to honor that or not.

Freedom all around... but no one is forced to do anything. What a concept.

The average parent is smarter than the average teacher. And the teachers are further dumbed down by the broken teacher certification system. It is a scam to amass political power and to indoctrinate your kids. My kids have never stepped foot in a government school, thankfully.

There needs to be a change in paradigm that your kids getting a real education and morality (which is part of education) is more important than your job. Frankly that should be your primary job if you have kids

Sending them off to be wards of the state for 6-8 hours a day should be over. That’s a failure

Teachers unions and those who run them are among the biggest evildoers in the country

That's hard to do when prices increase much faster than real wages, leading to most two-parent households needing two incomes to survive.

By the way, I'm not saying you are wrong, in theory, but in reality, it's just not very realistic.

Most women I know who work would gladly stay home if that was a realistic option.

Well it has to be realistic or else kids will be abused. If the building was on fire you’d get them out wouldn’t you? Well it is on fire in a moral sense

Public school wasn’t always a thing it was never a good idea and it can be done away with. You’re looking at it as necessary as like a baby sitting tool which is not what school should be for

I’m not sure to whom you’re talking.

I pointed out the internal inconsistency with your post.

I would love to abolish government “schools.”
