20 years on boats?!?
Running joke is that the happiest days in boat ownership are the day you buy and the day you sell. A 20 year note on one is fricking insane.

Insanity on the part of the lender...the buyer may be crazy like a fox...nice, new boat for a few years, let them have it back and walk away from the loan and within 24 months lenders will be beating a path to your door to get you to borrow some money again. The same lender who repossessed and went through collections and possibly was included in the ensuing bankruptcy will be begging that same borrower to do it again in 2 years or less. It beats all I ever slept with....

20 year boat loans have been around for at least 15 years but used to be limited to more expensive boats but now you can get a 20 year loan on $100k which won't buy much new boat today.
