So things have gotten better, because this was definitely not the case in the fall. People were complaining of the service and food on this board. We went around Christmas and food and service pretty average. I chalked it up to 50% off when buying gift cards.

We went a few months back and I was not impressed. Ordered the boudin dip and it was an oily mess. I make boudin dip at home all the time and it’s way better than what they served. I assumed they would take it up a level but it was as basic as you could get. For my entree I got the lobster risotto and the lobster was almost inedible because of how salty it was. I let my friend try it because they love salt and he said he would send it back. I ended up cutting the lobster into the smallest pieces possible and mixing it into the risotto which made it edible. The risotto itself was delicious. Service was good.

I has been very hit or miss for me since they've reopened. It's like we have a great visit, then a weird/bad one, then a great one, etc.
We did our rehearsal dinner in the wine cellar a few weeks ago, and it was fantastic food wise and service wise. Went back a few weeks later for jazz brunch, and it was just okay food wise and very oddball service.
I think it's a result of experienced servers getting other jobs during Covid and places starting over with young people that aren't yet comfortable. We've had more servers unable to open a bottle of wine in the past 2 years than you'd believe.
