Just as title says. I’m looking to change something up in the gym for some variety. This seems interesting and I’d like to give it a try. I’m a bit overwhelmed with the cuff options. I’m not looking to invest in the high end stuff like Kaatsu bands or smart cuffs until I have more experience and want to add this consistently. Can anyone recommend a quality band/cuff on Amazon or otherwise that is more entry level but not crap quality?
Also any pearls to training would be appreciated. I am looking to add this at the end of my PPSA programming. I understand the point is higher reps and lower weight. Seems like I’ve seen things like 30 reps/15 reps/15 reps etc.. I’m also looking to use on upper thighs while using my rogue echo bike. Thanks for any info.

Do not do this when you train the neck muscles.

if you are just llooking for arms and calves, get the thinner bands, doesnt really matter so long as they are adjustable.
if you plan to do quads too, then get the thicker bands.
as far as weight/reps etc....that doesnt really matter. just go to failure with light weight, do drop sets etc etc. just get bad arse pump. i do all ppsa arm work with them on and then at the end if i have time, do a drop set usually. but you can wear them the whole workout if you would like.
WARNING: the pumps from bfr can be stupid painful.

I did blood flow restriction training for my quad at PT when I was rehabbing my knee. Prepare to be pretty uncomfortable. The exercises themselves weren’t particularly difficult, but cutting off about 70% of the blood flow makes that shite quite the challenge. Lots of literature out there that support it and explain how it provides benefit.

I started trying it last week for the first time with just some knee wraps I found online. I tried it on my quads and biceps and didn't notice much. Third time was the charm. Just went tighter and worked triceps and they felt like they might tear during skullcrushers. Tried it again today on my quads tighter and got a nice quad burn. Definitely have to go tighter on legs
