For what it's worth, Peter King in his weekly column broke the 2020 draft into several categories: big hit, hit, incomplete, up in the air, and misses. He put Ruiz into the "hit" column, with the comment "usable right guard starter for the Saints." Compared to many of the other guys in that first round, we did pretty good.

A lot of guys from that class didn’t get their options picked up. I wonder if that’s because it was the Covid class and they couldn’t properly evaluate or if the new business model for teams will be not to pick up the option unless it’s a QB or all pro?
