Not saying they should fire him, but I don't think he's a top 10 NFL coach, IMO.

He is a glorified OC and not a great HC.

FWIW, I've never uttered these words.

He's still pretty young and new to the HC position. If he learns from his mistakes, he could be a fine HC one day. Will the Saints organization and fans have the patience?

Probably not.

I agree. I think that SP will get better with a few more seasons under his belt. Every job has a learning curve, and I think he is figuring out quickly that his high powered offense will not get him to the big game. Our defense stinks, and I strongly believe that he and the organization will make some drastic moves this off season to shore that up. He better, because it is evident in this league that no job is safe. Put up, or shut the frick up....

I don't want him fired, but the mark of a great coach is adjustments. Game time adjustments, half- time adjustments, mid-season adjustments off season adjustments, etc.

The fact that we didn't even try to run the ball and run the clock out yesterday but instead kept throwing the ball on third down showed that this coaching staff has made no adjustments throughout the season and is prepared to live and die with the pass.

I hope off season adjustments are made, because non of the other types of adjustments are even being considered.

What game were you watching? I though at the end of the game we killed the clock pretty good behind PT, but I could be wrong......

truth is we tried to run the ball and kill the clock in games earlier this year. it didn't work. when the other team know we are running it usually gets stuffed. this team has to pass to set up the run. and thats how is gonna be, we don't have that power run game everyone wants. they put a 6 minute drive together and got a field goal at the end. i don't see what wrong with that. its a 6 min. drive weither they run or throw what does it matter.

This was his best gameplan of the year. Good thing happens when you don't abandon the run.

Lets be honest we beat the chiefs (even though anything can happen on any given sunday).. Im have fan of Payton but I understand why ppl are so frustrated with him...Hes stubborn and makes bonehead decisions sometimesand lacks patience ...and even though we are not a good running team, he goes to one dimensional with the pass and u can't win in the NFL like that..Also, he brought Gibbs in and he needs to part ways with him

Even with that said I think hes goin to be a winning Coach and I dont think the Saints can get a better head coach thats on the market and would legitmently come to this organization...He's a young offensvie mind who needs to keep progression instead of regression with his play calling

I am somebody who believes that a head coach is linked with his Quarterback. Ditka with his slew of retards, Haslett with Brooks, now Payton with Brees.

If Brees stays than Payton should too. Eventually they'll find a way to make it work. If you replace Payton than the new coach will come in and it will take at least a year to get up to speed with Brees and what works, etc.

At least this week you can't attack Payton. His playcalling was much better. Only 2 deep passes all game (one on a penalty and it was Drew just taking a shot), and other than the flea flicker his play calling wasn't "cute" at all.

I think this is the number one complaint of most anti-Payton people. If Payton doesn't get "too cute" then I think most everyone is good with him.

Dude, it's fricking Kansas City. Every assclown in the league has taken a chunk out of them. If not for Drew Brees this team would be 1-9.
