The most telling about that interview is When BL says that he asked Miles, on sunday morning when you look at the tape. What tells you more about your team, the 31-3 drumming in the first 3 quarters or the 37-0 comeback. Miles said "Alwayse the part that makes victor". BL said to Bill King, the ex coach would of never said that. What that tells me is Miles doesn't have the mentality to dominate or improve.

I'll admit, that's a concern of mine for Miles. I truly hope that he is just feeding BS and doesn't really believe that.

I think Miles is telling him he liked the way his team after being down came back and showed true heart and character by getting the victory.
He did not say anything about not doing things to work on the play in the other part of the game. Interpretation is just that. Yours is yours and mine is mine.

geezzz you peeps jump on the dumbest shite.

Did anyone also notice LM saying "we stunk it up for three quarters?"

Sounds to me like he knows there is tons of work to be done

Looking at what works is one way to improve.

Miles more than any other coach plays the part of "coach speak" in the media. That's why when everyone is flipping out when he says that our DC's are doing a good job, but from everyone who knows what happens behind closed doors, it seems he is NOT content.

He is NOT going to trash the team, players, or coaches in the media as much as others want him to...

I am sure he is not happy having to come back against Troy, but is happy they didn't quit.

He was in a pretty good mood after the game, at least on INside LSU football. And I don't like seeing that shite after having to come back on a team like that.

It all in mindset. If your mindset is that was good enough or yea we won, then there will be no improvement.

Well I hope so Bayourant. He sure as hell didnt seem like who had an answer for anything on the sidelines. The teams mentalilty becomes a mirror of the coach.

Well, I mean, there has to be some point where you cut out the Mr. Nice Guy routine.

People can badmouth the fans all they want, but you can't brainwash folks and what we saw in the first half of that game was disturbing. And people don't have to cool with it.

Folks can spin it, twist it, chop it, sautee it, I don't give a shite.....nobody wants to see the boss of the football team with a big fricking smile on his face after having to come back against a team like Troy. Folks know better.

if that is what you got from Miles comment then I think you missed the point of what he was saying. These are 18-22y/o men and getting down and quitting was a probability, not a possibility. So he was trying to accentuate the positive and say that he was pleased they fought back and showed resolve and that the victory part is more important than the negativity of 31-3.

one thing about Miles teams, they always show up to play, they play very hard and they don't ever quit. That is not something we could always say about the Saban Era

If you look at quotes from the players that mentality was we never give up and we are gonna win. So, thanks for bringing up that point.

Well, I wouldn't necessarily say we showed up to play this past Saturday. Ole Miss in 2006 is another game that comes to mind as well....Not bashing Miles but all teams play flat on occasion.

That ex-coach of ours' bark was sometimes bigger than his bite. Had we dominated UK up 21-7 late in the third,no need for a Blue Grass miracle in 2002, Arkansas fiasco in 2002 or that Iowa disaster.
