Remember this story? A bar standing with Joe Rogan, Howard Stern and other celebrities, decided they were not going to allow desention.
Bar tells angry customers to leave... newsweek
I laughed, stating "Did they really say they would kick themselves out?"
Looks like they should have...
Bar makes desperate plea to get customers to return.
After telling patrons boycotting Bud Light to get leave, the bar has made several statements indicating they need their clientele to return.
In other news, I read yesterday...
Grocery chain reports large sales drop of Bud Light. (nypost.com)
This small North-Eastern grocery chain (8 stores) has reported a 50% drop-off of Bud Light.

"Bars, in our opinion, exist as public spaces where ideas should be exchanged. Unfortunately, due to all of the bigotry and hatred that has surfaced around the Bud Light controversy, any patron wanting to voice their concerns about the issue will be immediately asked to pay their bill and leave our establishment."
Everyone is welcome in the bar no matter how they identity, the post added, and that ownership doesn't care about special cans or partnerships with certain individuals.
"We will not tolerate intolerance," it said.

It is a LOT fricking easier to keep the old clients than get new ones in almost any industry.

No one will ever forget what Bud Light stands for, ever.

They don’t stand for anything. They are instead falling for everything.

It’s always a bad idea to alienate existing customers

The major distributor in SWLA just put out a radio ad about how they love Swla and have given a bunch of money to the community and that their values don’t match with AB. Tell me they aren’t getting hurt by this.

I checked out their facebook page and they have turned off the comments to their posts... They did leave open from the 16th on back... People were making nasty comments. I don't know what the owners said but it seems they are really sorry... You don't take sides and you don't frick with your customers...
How in the hell is this making national news?? Is some jelly liberal going to come in pay them a bunch of money? Is a go-fund-me going to be set up?

So we shouldn't take a stand against corporations if innocent, good people stand to lose something in the process? I mean I get it, but that's a losing attitude because corporations will hide behind them like Taliban fighters behind women and children.

First time I have noticed anything beyond all the talk and bloviating was at my Winn Dixie today.
Lots of Bud light on the shelf that it was noticeable and on sale.
