yeah, schemes matter, but the tape doesn't lie either. Look at the highlights of Smith, he flies to the ball with excellent speed, he makes plays, he puts pressure on a QB, RB or whoever has the ball in the backfield. He's young and teachable and will only get better as a pro as he matures, with the speed he has I wouldn't be surprised to see him develop coverage skills.

And I think the fact that the Eagles got them like in a lot of people's minds they jump to the conclusion oh well they got a steal cuz all they do is pick good players.

Does he though? He wasn't much more productive than Bresee in far more games.
