These 2 sentences don't really go together

quote:

No one had Nolan Smith falling to 29

I don't care what you say about "not fitting a scheme", dude is a 4.39 badass that you probably take when he falls to you.

Can't justify the fact that you think the team should take him because you don't pass on that talent, when 29 players were drafted before him. Therefore, a lot of teams did their evaluation and felt he was worth passing on, regardless of his 40 time.

Also, you don't care what scheme he fits, but the defense primarily plays with a 4 man front and 2 LBers. How many times do they need to fail at drafting a 3-4 OLBer and trying to make them a hands in the ground DE before they stop doing that? And, with one of the best D-lines in college in front of him for the past 2 years, wouldn't his stats be more impressive if he was this can't miss guy? Not saying he won't be great in the NFL, but there's a reason he fell and a reason his stats don't jump out at you

They were a lot of really good players in the draft that fit these other teams needs more which is why they were taken before a Nolan Smith. I wouldn't say it was a matter of those teams passing on Smith like you're saying.

If you didn't use him as an edge rusher is he just going to usurp Demario Davis or Pete Werner?

He's coming off a pretty serious injury a torn pec but he does play hard and the fact that he fell that far is surprising I guess it must be the injury thing.

The Eagles continue to rack up all these players from George's defense which is pretty amazing.
