I use T-Mobile for phone. It’s reputation for not working indoors or really just about anywhere just isn’t true anymore since 5G and the sprint merge.

I was getting 700+ mb/sec at my house with the T-Mobile home Internet. I had problems with personal vpn, work vpn, Plex, and with some streaming (tv/gaming) services. Had to return cable Internet.

Something to do with double firewalls and non static IP addresses.

Not correct. You must, must, must, check signal maps like OpenSignal. I could drive less than 300m south of my old house and get perfect bars, but the street in front of my driveway was a total ZERO. You decision must be based upon data, and not anecdotes. I'm in the same situation again, where I get 5GCUC (ultra capacity) 70 yards from my place, but I can't have T-Mobile Internet because it would be non-functional.

Download OpenSignal. Do proper research. Never assume whatever coverage you get is going to "get better" before you pay off your phone.
