There is a natural gas power plant sitting idle on about 10 acres in Pointe Coupee Parish right now that could produce more energy than the state's largest solar farm.

We are completely stupid with our land use. Solar panels belong on buildings and over parking garages. Not on farmland or anything where people might need to use for housing. I'm not against solar, but I will be if we keep letting this happen.

All part of the plan: Unreliable electricity and no space.
You will live in the pod.
You will eat the bugs.
You will sit in the dark.
You will own nothing.
And you will be happy.

FIFY.

It’s a nice add on to a roof or downtown. It’s not a viable replacement. Tax credits are what’s making it lucrative, and as others have said the cleanup isn’t fun
