They have no point. They stalled all weekend to not have to face Skenes and then completely avoided game 3.
They lost a series to Vandy just last week. You don’t jump from #6 to #1 in one week when the #1 team also swept.

I mean they definitely have point. Their claim involves their overall body of work, not just this weekend. But it does help that they just swept the #3 team in the country. Bottom line, we are still #1 partly because of our preseason ranking. If Wake Forest or South Carolina were #1 preseason, they would still be there. Nothing wrong with admitting that they have an argument.

You are just blinded by fandom. Of course they have "a point".
They have a better record than us. More wins AND less losses. Both SEC AND overall. Even after losing a series to Vandy they still have a better SEC record than us. They are higher in RPI as well.
When you compare who was played, LSU gets the nod because we've had a tougher schedule, but that's the ONLY reason we're ahead.
If you can't see that, it's because you're not looking for the truth.
