Paramedics make around what nurses make.
EMT's are a different and have minimal training for their minimal pay.
I am not saying they are not underpaid, almost every profession today is underpaid compared to how workers were paid just a generation ago.

EMT-P's don't make anywhere near what a RN makes. That's why many continue with education to RN.
EMT-B's and I's are overworked and underpaid cannon fodder. Many come and go.
