We seem to do well with UDFA right after the draft.
With 2 picks in the top 40 we may have a chance to pick the top rated safety, linebacker, guard and with our draft history...kicker LOL

Saints Needs Ranked?
1. Players who don't get hurt and sit out season after season while also eating 10% of the cap.
2. Players who don't do stupid stuff during off season which gets them suspended multiple games.
3. Players who don't use social media to share political opinions and start shite.
4. Coaches who don't call stupid arse plays which make me throw shite at the walls of my house
5. Refs who have 20/20 eyesight and respect the rules of football over what the TV/Fanduel market wants to see happen.

ALWAYS draft Best Player Available!
Sorry, but no. Positional value cannot be ignored. A DE, CB, OT, or QB on a rookie deal is much more valuable than a RB or LB. A 1st round RB would be one of the highest paid in the league at his position, a 1st round DE would be one of the lowest paid. That matters from a team-building and cap standpoint.
Needs can't be ignored either. Sure, the Saints shouldn't reach but if you've got CB Kelee Ringo rated just above DT Brian Bresee and they're both available - take the friggin tackle. Draft evaluations are not an exact science anyway.
