That happened while I was LSU or had just previously graduated. I knew Diane, and can confirm, she was a sweet soul of a person. Her Dad, Dr. Upp, didn't want the kid's life ruined, so he influenced prosecutors to reduce charges. I remember having a very hard time with that. Terrible tragedy. I still think about it every now and then. They're both in Heaven with Jesus. Great family. I can attest to that.
