Milwaukee is a very underrated city. Quick hop from Chicago, so my buddies and I pop up there for a day and night once in awhile - great bars and taverns.
If you aren't willing to leave the immediate downtown area, can just go to Mader's. Right near Deer District, too, which might be worth checking out if the Bucks are still playing.
Quick walk south into Third Ward, can walk through the Public Market or grab a quick bite at Wicked Hop.
I'm a big fan of the Lower East Side - might be my favorite neighborhood. Ton of bars and casual eats. I like Pete's Pub, Points East and Von Trier.
I almost never go to Milwaukee without grabbing Vanguard in Bay View. Quick Uber from downtown and some of the best sausages you'll have.

Thanks for the tips. We are going to The Brewery one night but will try and check out these places.

Carnevor is one of the better steaks I've had in a while.
St. Paul Fish market at the public market is great, the best lobster roll in the midwest (its very good).
Or you can take a 90 minute train for $20 and eat anything you want in Chicago.

Flying in for 5 hour meeting. Have dinner open for Monday night so looking for tips from people that have been. Probably doesn’t make sense to go to Chicago.

Went over for the Pels/Bucks game at the end of January and had dinner there... I thought it was very good!

You're not wrong. I drive from Milwaukee to Chicago a few times a year just to eat.
