Only 2 (Ackenhausen and Coleman) of the 6 injured pitchers (Ack, Coleman, Noot, Applebey, Edwards and Shores) could be available going forward, the other 4 are out for the season.

ETA: Forgot about Grant Taylor, so that is 7 injured with 2 possible returnees this season.

It's a work in progress, with several bright spots:

Collins and Money had good outings this week. Money went into a rough situation (bases loaded and 1 out) and got the two batters he faced in that inning out and squelched the fire.

Little was rolling today until he lost the strike zone (did not allow a hit against UK).

Guidry and Herring got extended in this series. Herring a heavier workload than previous and Guidry making several appearances in the series. Both had struggles, but the positive in this situation is Johnson & Johnson are getting them ready for the grind ahead.

Floyd's outing looks a lot worse due to back to back fielding snafus.

Cooper was effective over two appearances.

Need to get Hurd turned around, need effective innings out of him going forward.

I think Bucknam needs to have a role, too. Even if, like Money, he eats a few innings during the week and weekend. Obviously, a breakout would be great. You hope that more workload continues his development for postseason play.

I thought the prognosis on Edwards was that it wasn't as serious as they originally thought? Did it get released/reported that he tore his UCL?

I missed that info about Shores and Edwards being done for the year. What were the injuries? I thought Edwards had a chance to come back this year.

I’m pretty sure that Ack is not lost for the season.

Back news is you lose Shores and Edwards for next year as well...

But at least you might get Grant Taylor back by conference. Noot should be good and Coleman could turn into your sunday guy.

so youll have 6 guys battling for 3 spots next year

Hurd
Little
Coleman
Hurd
Herring
Grant Taylor

for 3 conference starter roles.. 2024

the rest of the bullpen will step up, youre already starting to see it with Collins..

Dutton will come around. Cooper helps out. Guidry is coming along.

sit back and have fun watching them grow...
