Great Comeback, Tigers!

That being said, I went to bed last night having given up on this team, the coaches, and the future of LSU football. It was 31-10, Troy when my head hit the pillow (I live in Eastern Time). This morning I awoke to a miracle. I am really glad LSU pulled this one out. But I am still wondering how LSU got into that big, deep hole to start with.
I guess a lot was said last night here, on score board; I know, b/c I said a bunch myself. But when it all boils down to reality, I think LSU is a rebuilding team. I think Coach Miles was wrong to hire Malveto as DC. I still do. I think J. Lee might wind up ok, but he's definitely got that freshman look, and JJ is not better (but might as well get more playing time).
But what I think I saw from last night's results was what I thought was not to be found anywhere on this year's team: CHARACTER. The Tigers did not give up, and they did come back, and there must be some leadership on this team after all. So I must apologize for thinking and ranting otherwise. But really, those first 3 quarters last night were not pretty.

when your opponent throws 72 times, crazy things can happen either to you or to them.

Yeah, what kind of fan doesn't finish watching the game?

The same kind that leaves the game at halftime.

I'll be honest, I was tempted to turn the channel or just turn in, esp. after the 4th down throwaway. But I guess I just like watching these guys too much, and I wanted to see how they responded.

I was prepared to leave the game at the end of the 3rd quarter. It was cold as chit and it was embarrassing. Then we scored. I said let's wait and see if we can get a stop and score again. We did. The rest is history, literally.
I was shocked at how many people left at halftime.

quote:Go ahead, take your shots. But don't think for one minute I'm not an LSU fan. In fact, I am too big of an LSU fan to watch what looked to me for 3 quarters like a total LSU team/coaching melt-down. I didn't want that to be a lasting memory. Plus, truth be told, I was "watching" the game through the eyes of the Rant. I live in FL and we don't get WWL, nor could I find anything on the web and we didn't have the game on TV. So when I went to bed, what I did was walk away from TigerDroppings; at that point it was still 31-10, and nothing much going on *How wrong was I?*

You my friend get the game ball. Thank you for saving the game.

WTF??? Just finished watching Deja Vu with the wife, turn on the Hornets game...and they are losing, go check on the Tigers and almost fell out my chair seeing the halftime score. I had to do a double take. Unreal!
Like in the movie maybe I can go back in time and somehow rescue the team tonight and turn this thing around.
