quote:Jarrett is in an overmatched situation this year. He wasn't ready. I'm sure he knew it. The coaches knew it. It sucks FOR HIM that we don't have an alternative. Now we know why the coaches were so insistant on starting Hatch early in the season. The problem is that in 2004 and 2006 we went dry in QB recruiting and the nation's top QB from 2005 is no longer on the team. An RP-led LSU would be a one loss SEC-west leading team with JL on the bench as a confident backup and future LSU star QB.
(Be Nice Everybody)
But in terms of "being nice", how many folks could keep pulling themselves up after huge set backs as Lee has? As a 19y/o walking back onto the field in front a 92K unhappy fans following yet another pick-6? Walking back onto the field knowing that he's by all rights too inexperienced to be there? Knowing he's going to take huge criticism. Knowing the boos are coming, yet knowing there isn't an alternative. That's a lot for a 19y/o to have to shoulder.

Enjoy coming and seeing the farks. And this is the most sane and accurate thing I've seen posted. Kid has got some heart, no matter how much he's screwed up, he comes back and that's a testament to him. Alot of kids, hell, adults would have thrown in the towel in the situations he's been in.

Well - probably a couple more if South Carolina played them
Y'all rotate QBs too if I remember correctly.... and they're not redshirt freshmen either....

Considering he was playing against one of the top intercepting teams in the country (2 INTs behind the #1 spot), I really don't see this point as particularly damaging to Lee.

3 losses, 15 INT's, and 7 pick-6's--
I don't get angry and blame Lee, I get angry and blame Perriloux!!!
