When I was working ICU,maybe 1/2 the nurses( mostly white)participated and we made pretty good money. They wouldn’t even do the minimum to get the match.
My manager had a Masters degree and told me she couldn’t afford to even do the minimum.
Then when the market crashed 2008-2009,quite a few people in the hospital cashed in,paid the extra taxes and paid the 10% penalty.

Financial literacy is very much lacking for both blacks and whites.

I believe that. My brother worked for Shell for 5 years before I convinced him to start contributing. Here now some 15 years later he thanks me often. Lol
