I have spots of my yard that did the same thing and look similar. In places this happens every year. Some in the same spots, sometimes in new spots.

At this point, all I want is green. Don’t really care about the grass type. It looks that bad

agree. usually time will "heal" as it gets hot and grass grows and we cutting 1 x week. just want to make sure its not something that is gonna kill the whole yard because it looks like shite. Im a St Aug fan, have some in my backyard taking over, and wish I would have sodded the front with st. aug from day 1, 20 years ago.
