Was asked to sign an NDA with a company during the interview process. Seems pretty standard, but since I'm interviewing with other companies, wondering if this could lead to trouble if I end up with a competitor?

The way I understand it is that any confidential info that comes out of the interview process stays between myself and that company. I have no issues adhering to this. However this is a 5 yr NDA and I haven't even talked with anyone outside of the recruiter. The language in the NDA seems okay (ie it's not a non-compete). I am also interviewing with what could be considered a competitor so looking for some input/advice, thanks

Impossible to know without actually reading the agreement. Post the language here so I can take a look.

Never been asked to sign that during the interview process. It would give me pause...but would need to see exactly what the contract says. 5 years is a longggg time too.

Document says confidential so don't think I can copy/paste. Is there specific wording I need to be on the lookout for within the confidential info section?

I had to with the past two employers (3 yrs and 5 yrs ago) but haven't run into wanting to sign while dealing with multiple companies/competitors before

There have been some recent changes to employer disclosure and confidentiality agreements, basically labor board reining in companies that were requiring anyone and everyone to sign one. Depends on the terms of what they are asking, but many employers are having people sign things that are not enforceable.
