Tyson was supposedly out partying hard the night before the fight. It was obvious that he didn’t take the fight seriously and it cost him that invincible aura that he had at the time

He spent the entire time in Tokyo in his hotel watching "Faces of Death" he couldn't go into public without a mob of Japanese fans surrounding him.
He was rusted, he had fought a total of one round in the previous year. Was going through a divorce.
