Can you explain how you do this? I have a Uniden R1 (same as R3 but no GPS) and I'm guessing that you're excluding certain frequencies within K band.

There are different frequencies of radar that fall within the K-band spectrum that aren't police radar. The R8 allows you to customize which frequencies you want to come through and which ones you don't.
This is especially helpful for vehicles that utilize radar cruise control --- which has a tendency to produce false alarms for radar detectors that can't distinguish between a false and a real alert.
Highway Radar (Android only) for the R8 allows you to take this even further than the software that Uniden puts out.
