We just disafilliated last month. If you do it this year, you can keep all your stuff by if you do it in 2024 there are other rules. I think it is based on what state you are in (not sure though). We are in Texas and someone said at least here in tx we can keep our stuff. Not sure of the accuracy of that. However we got to keep everything and don't have to pay the big church 20k each year.

That's good. Was there any "fine" that your church had to pay?

It's ridiculous that orthodox believers have to "leave" the church, when it's the heretics who should be kicked out.

You get to keep your buildings and such if you pay the 2 years' apportionment and unfunded pension liabilities. Some stuff you have must go. You can't use the "flame and cross" anywhere in your church. You can't use the Methodist hymnal. You essentially must get rid of anything that "they" think belongs to the UMC.
As evil as they are, I wonder will they sue the Global Methodist Church as the have their own Book of Discipline. How could stay the traditional Church without plagiarizing the original Book of Discipline?
