No it wont and statements like this are no different than blaming other inanimate objects...like guns.

Why shoot up an elementary school?
Because evil is real and it's one of the easiest targets.

Yes. The zombie game I played as a kid made me immediately want to go out and start gunning humans down.
You solved the problem.

No. That’s simply not demonstrated by any data around school shooters.
And I can tell you that, that kind of qualitative data in mental health is highly skewed because its like pulling teeth when initiating the conversations around them. Numbers say a lot, many of the numbers on mental health are broad spectrum, while mental health is nuanced and that part of the problem that leads to over/under medication and over/under diagnosis, broad spectrum numbers. That field will always be more complex than what is known, because the investment to true deep dive isn't there. Its the fact that folks feel its an endless dive that will bear little fruit.

The first step is to acknowledge that guns aren't the issue. If that doesn't happen, the issue will persist.
People are going to have to stop getting offended when confronted with the source of our problems:
Fatherlessness. Unchecked Mental Illness. Shitty Parenting.
Every mass shooter in American history has had one, two or all of the above.

That was a lot of words to say you don’t have any data.

I don't think they get offended. The scumbags having these conversations secretly want these things to continue so they can "keep fighting for you" while in office

OR what I said was, all of the data available is educated guesswork.

They really do. I have a family member who has been diagnosed with a major mental illness. She will not treat it. Everyone walks around egg shells around her. She gets offended so easily.
She gets so angry so quickly at minor issues. For a while, she was a COVID freak so we had to stay away from her.
The number of holes in the wall that have been patched because she's punched the wall in anger is really high.
I have had to come to her three times in the past few years because she has gotten so angry in a customer service situation that police have been called.
I have told my wife that if she had easy access to a gun, she would have killed someone by now.
Grew up without a dad. Her mother has been married 5 times and doesn't give a shite about her. There will be periods of a few months where she seems to be doing better (going to work, going to church, etc.) but it will snap on a moments notice.

Pretending it’s a false flag op isn’t especially helpful either.
I'm not pretending it's anything more than evil. I'm bitching that these things always happen at an opportune time for the sick fricks running our country. And...our brain dead POTATUS is going to use it in a sick way.
Posted on 3/27/23 at 1:45 pm to loogaroo
Never mind...POTATUS is making jokes and hasn't addressed it yet.

The average person may but the people having the discussions at the highest level only sees opportunity and has no incentive to change anything.

So there is no data complied on the personal lives of these shooters?

But, gun activists from DC just happened to be there, hijacked the mics from reporters, and began preaching about gun control.
Weird fricking coincidence. Just happened to be in Nashville on Vacation.

Sounds like the family needs to step in and put her away before she acts on her anger.
Posted on 3/27/23 at 1:53 pm to ItNeverRains
Without reading past page 1 of the replies yet, I got $20 that says the shooter is in favor of unrestricted abortion and this was her way to lash out against the religious folks.

Or trans rights.
Or homosexual marriage.
Or some other Marxist plot to destroy America.

therefore you have nothing supporting your initial claim. That you think kids growing up learning how to socially interact with each other via pocket computers (aka "cellphones") and video games does not negatively affect their ways of seeing the world around them tells us all we need to know about your way of thinking. You prefer to follow data based on educated guesswork rather than logically thinking through what's directly in front of our faces. The problem with psychological studies is that they are dominated by predetermined biases. Relying on them is silly.
