I came of age in the 1950s and can attest it was a great time. The decline of the USA started in the mid-1960s with LBJ's Great Society.

And then in the 70s we abolished the gold standard and started our rise to being 40 trillion in debt. And then the government thought it was so great that they constantly spent money they dont have that they would make it so every American would have to rack up plenty of debt too to own a house/vehicle/business
