We lost today. Against a great team who threw their best guys. A game in which we should have won. Margin for error in games like this is minimal. If Morgan gets a better read on the PB and scores that run....LSU wins this game. Now the closer spot definitely has to be figured out bc that bullshite isnt going to fly. Fix that soon and we are just fine. #1 team in the country.

And he did his job.

The issue that cost the game was addressed in the OP.

Fa sho.
Skenes did great and Shores did good.

We were there. One thing I noticed and wondered, did we set a record today for flyouts in foul territory? Seemed like a LOT of those today.

Ben mentioned this in the broadcast. When he brought it up, there were 19 flyball outs between both teams. I think it was the 6th or 7th inning.

Yea despite the wind, it was like balls were dying up there. Maybe because it was 145% humidity out there today.

Only thing more frustrating than flyouts are flyouts in foul territory.

People ignore logic and sense after a loss lol. It was a 1-1 game going into extra innings. Trey Morgan doesn’t make that mistake 95/100. He will flush it and move on. Tommy white won’t be 0/5 again this season. The pen will be fine. Shores looked excellent. Little has a place on this team but it needs to be as a mid-week starter or middle inning guy. The one glaring issue that does need attention is the 3rd outfield spot. The Jobert project needs to end. I don’t give a rats arse how many homers he hit last year.
