I am beyond sick of this attitude that black people cannot be racist. That is nothing more than cover for them to be the most racist people in any setting.

You don't need power to be racist at an individual level. Power only matters when you are trying to institutionalize your racism, a la Jim Crow.

In places like Nola only black people can be racist if it’s a power thing.

So either way it’s stupid. Even though the mayor is a racist.

Think if I got up on stage and just replaced some words that Latoya had used, I’m a strong white man, and it’s our time now. They are black supremacists.

I remember hearing that nonsense for the first time in the mid 1990s in an academic setting.
