When I lived in Katy the Home Depot was head and shoulders better than Lowe's for customer service.

Now, out here in Tomball, it's the reverse. I have to set something on fire at Home Depot to get anyone to give me the time of day. Lowe's employees are nice, knowledgeable, and always around if you have a question.

I think a lot of it is a reflection of the management of the store.

That’s definitely part of it. The store manager at the one I’m referencing thinks he’s a fricking Yellowstone rancher.

The store in question is located in Murphy, NC for those curious about that.

This. My local HD is *far* more helpful than my Lowes. I only go to Lowes if there's a part that HD doesn't carry, or for Maipei tile supplies.

Other than that, my Lowes is useless as football skates.
